Colors
The palette is divided into Soft Pastels for comfort and The Void for the unknown. Always start from the blush canvas — the dream has a temperature, and it is a permanent sunset.
Base
The canvas is a permanent sunset. Never pure white, never pure black — the dream always has a temperature.
#fef2f2The eternal sunset canvas. Every page starts here.
#ffffffFloating surfaces, detached from the fog.
#fce7f3Recessed surfaces: inputs, wells, quiet areas.
Soft Pastels
Comfort. The colors of a childhood you may or may not have had.
#f9a8d4The signature pink. Emphasis, links, brand moments.
#c7e2ffA sky remembered from a dream.
#d8b4feSpecial states, rare moments.
#a7ffe0Positive states, success, growth.
#fff6a0Warnings that never feel alarming.
The Void
Unease. The deep end of the dream. Use sparingly — the void is most powerful when it is rare.
#030027The deepest dark. Never use pure black.
#151e3fPrimary dark tone for text and shadows.
#b8336aThe one saturated voice. Accents, labels, emphasis.
Functional
Semantic roles, mapped onto the dream.
#151e3fDefault text color.
#79aea3Secondary text — words half-remembered.
#ffbdd9Interactive elements: buttons, controls.
Using the Void
The Void is not a dark theme — it is gravity. In a dream painted in pastels, darkness only means something because it is rare. Spend it like a held breath.
Do
Use midnight as the workhorse — body text, icons, and shadows. Reserve void for the few moments that demand full attention: modal backdrops, faded presence states, and terminal moments like footers. One void moment per view is the ceiling.
Don't
Never fill large surfaces with void, never use it decoratively, and never reach for pure #000000. Even the deepest dark keeps a trace of blue — the dream never fully goes out.
| Token | Role | In the wild |
|---|---|---|
| midnight | Everyday dark — reading, not gravity | text, shadow-float, borders |
| void | Focus & absence — the strongest signal | VoidModal backdrop, StatusBadge void, DreamAvatar void |
| rose | Emotional accent within the dark family | labels, emphasis, error text |
